The experience

The Invitation is an immersive and interactive “otome” inspired experience and visual novel, that allows you to interact with the unique setting of the Bologna of Baroque times: discover secrets, fall in love, meet new friends and learn about a hidden gem of Italian history.

About Palazzo Davia Bargellini

Our project has found as its main location of interest the Davia Bargellini Museum, a 17th-century palazzo, initially belonging to the Bargellini family, situated inside Villa Spada.

It first opened in 1924 under the management of the art historian Francesco Malaguzzi Valeri.

It contains a collection of paintings and rare objects that aims to provide an introduction to Bolognese art while maintaining an authentic eighteenth-century setting.

Unluckily The Davia Bargellini Museum doesn't have a personal website.

Target Audience

Because of its geographic location, the museum already attracts a certain number of visitors, both international and local.

Usually, the average visitor has minimal knowledge of the site and the historical context of the objects contained in the collection. The majority of tourists often travel with personal electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches, that is why it is important to exploit these familiar tools, to gather more teenagers who are the most important people to seek for, in order to preserve human heritage in this aerial digital future. That’s what our project is trying to do, to create a digital entity who allows the actual entering into this interactive world.
